Church opens its doors to 225 homeless people and gives them a safe warm place to stay every night

For families and individuals who are homeless it can be difficult to find a warm place to sleep when they have no family or anyone else to look after them.

A church wants to change this by letting about 225 people sleep without shelter in its buildings every night.

One of the cities where there are more homeless than in most other places is San Francisco. Those who live in this city have to earn a little more than 100,000 US dollars to live comfortably. When you think about how much you have to work to earn so much money, you quickly feel a little uneasy.

Since it can be difficult to earn so much money every year, many families are not able to stay in their homes. It seems that the only people who can live in San Francisco and similar cities are the rich and those with jobs that come with a good salary that can pay for their lifestyle.

Crime in the city has risen, as people will do anything to get some money for a place to stay.

You often see homeless people wandering around the streets. They sleep on benches and the sidewalk. Fortunately, the Gubbio Project has decided to step in and help people who don’t have a home. The two churches that offer accommodation have room enough for 225 people every night.

Those who are looking for a place to sleep do not have to sign any documents. If they need additional help, then there are people who are willing to help them and point them in the right direction.

See how this church, in cooperation with kind people and organizations, finds at least temporary solutions for those who need a helping hand.

This story is truly inspiring and reminds us how important it is that we never lose our humanity.
